Who or what is AITERS?

Other names they use are AimaoTV, lovcat, Jack Latiao, or sometimes just Latiao.

AITERS are a disturbing network of zoosadists based in China. Zoosadists are those who find the sight of animals in pain pleasurable or sexually arousing. AITERS particularly like to target cats, typically strays, but they sometimes kidnap and torture pet cats to harass their owners. The methods of torture they use are unimaginably cruel.

Left unchecked by authorities, this practice has developed into its own subculture. Horrific videos are shared on Telegram, Tor, IPFS, and Chinese social media sites for the enjoyment of other zoosadists. Some abusers even turn it into a business - they sell videos where customers can choose which methods to torture cats with.

China has not outlawed animal cruelty, and until it does, AITERS will be able to abuse animals with impunity.
